In the first segment we start with a light warm up just to get the blood flowing.
In the second segment we get into partner pad work which gives you the opportunity to hit stuff and it feels oh so good! Here, we show you the proper and different ways to punch, kick and strike using elbows, knees and hands while emphasizing soft target areas. These are the basic but most crucial elements of any self-defense situation.
In the third segment we jump into the common attacks women encounter and how to get out of them. We call these “holds & grabs” and this is the most interesting part of the class. We focus on specific “grabs” and how to escape them. For instance; someone has you pinned to the wall in a front choke or grabs your arm/wrist and is trying to pull you away perhaps into a car. These techniques are so life-worthy, you should practice them even after you leave the class.
